Fueled in equal measures by urgency and procrastination, I submit my creative prep: 1.  Organize Pinterest boards.  2. Compose a country song extolling my dog’s trash-trolling ways. 3. Develop a repertoire of animated character voices.  I’m the literary love child of David Sedaris and Jane Austen:  Love, revenge, humor, loneliness, potty mouth. All are welcome here.   An emotional anthropologist, I’m fascinated by the ‘other.’  To examine, to understand a specific type of person in a different kind of life  -- and realize we’re all in the same boat -- is one of the craft’s richest rewards. Besides, I love a character who lets their freak flag fly.
